May 26th - Sally Ride Day

So, it's Sally Ride day. According to this random holiday site:

Sally Ride Day honors the first American woman to go into space. Dr. Ride accomplished this feat as a mission specialist aboard STS-7, the second flight of the Space Shuttle "Challenger". STS-7 was launched from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on June 18, 1983.
Well, I'm not going to mock or slam Sally Ride. I actually had a chance to hear her speak when I was in 8th grade, and have a lot of respect for her.

So, in the spirit of the funny, I'm going to divert to something Ms. Ride was involved in: Space!

No joke, but

HELL YEAH 'MERICA!

Want to add some more romance to that?

Oh Leo... <3

I travel too much to disagree with this gif.

It took me so long to actually catch the face swap here. The meme was funny enough before I noticed that.

And watching the video from this actually made my stomach drop:

Lastly....

(OMG thank you IrenesInternet.com!!!)

Love and kisses from my little spot in this galaxy,
